tbayen: Good Morning!
CarlosRuiz: I'll be working today on v1.0b Devina Release
banym: hi CarlosRuiz
banym: CarlosRuiz, is it true that you got asked to to release management on adempiere again?
CarlosRuiz: :-) banym - do you mean this? https://www.facebook.com/groups/adempiere/permalink/10151578891829134/
banym: yes i think. maybe it was on facebook
Edwin_Ang: hi everyone
CarlosRuiz: Hi Edwin_Ang
tbayen: Hi Edwin_Ang
Edwin_Ang: Hi CarlosRuiz
Edwin_Ang: Hi tbayen
Edwin_Ang: the wiki is already up :)
tbayen: Yes, I restarted it some hours ago. Apache was out of memory for an unknown reason :-(
Edwin_Ang: ic
Edwin_Ang: CarlosRuiz: are you preparing a new release?
CarlosRuiz: yes - today is release work
Edwin_Ang: what is the mechanism for applying patch in idempiere?
Edwin_Ang: back in adempiere, we have patches.jar
Edwin_Ang: is it possible to do so here?
CarlosRuiz: approach changed
CarlosRuiz: hengsin implemented an updater - is something like update.sh repository
CarlosRuiz: I think it was explained somewhere on forums
tbayen: You create an OSGi plugin instead of a patches.jar. Then you can insert this plugin into a running idempiere installation.
Edwin_Ang: i think those are two different patching method, the update.sh and using OSGi plugin
tbayen: update.sh updates all idempiere base plugins and your own plugins from the given repository. This is different from the question where your plugin comes from and how you build it.
