CarlosRuiz: Hello
aguerra: hello
JanThielemann: hi carlos
nmicoud: Bonjour
aguerra: hola carlos
CarlosRuiz: JanThielemann, at Krefeld you shown an addon for a phone field, right?
JanThielemann: yes
CarlosRuiz: do you have plans to idempierize it? :-)
JanThielemann: it is already a usable plugin :)
JanThielemann: but you have to ask jmpiloq_ if we can make it open source
JanThielemann: also it is not perfect. if you remember, i replaced the phone fields with another editor and i swapped numbers to a new table. that might not be the best approach. the simpler one would be to use the field as is (string) and extend the editor to have the phone call button
JanThielemann: then, validate a phone or fax number via a callout
CarlosRuiz: well - it depends in case you want to manage country code, area code, extension, additional - maybe is worthy like you did (similar to Location)
ocurieles: Good Morning
CarlosRuiz: hi Orlando
ocurieles: Hi Carlos
CarlosRuiz: brb ... meeting here ... c u later
ocurieles: Hi @red1
ocurieles: Hi Again :D
ocurielesDCS: hi
aparra: hi
aparra: How I can make the check summary in reports of idempiere come checked by default for some reports?
CarlosRuiz: aparra, I don't think there is such feature by default
tbayen: Hi Carlos!
CarlosRuiz: Hi Thomas
aparra: ok
tbayen: I realized this afternoon you killed included tabs in the Swing Client. :-(
CarlosRuiz: ah yes - part of the cleaning of things that don't work
tbayen: I am porting one of my legacy systems. It runs on adempiere361. Seems I have to work around that. I have no time to reimplement that atm.
aparra: Carlos, In pdf reports shows the parameters,What class do it?, I'm trying to find it.
CarlosRuiz: aparra, I recently added an order by for that - let me check the commit ...
CarlosRuiz: IDEMPIERE-1446
tbayen: In org.compiere.print.layout.LayoutEngine#layout() is a call to layoutParameter(). Is this what you are looking for?
CarlosRuiz: yep - I think that is - using the m_query that I changed the order by there
tbayen: org.compiere.print.layout.ParameterElement does the stuff
aparra: thank
tbayen: I there a process or a documentation on how to clean up the database from time to time? Like deleting old system exceptions, vacuumizing tables and things like that?
tbayen: Or would you say it does not neet maintenance?
tbayen: Is
CarlosRuiz: tbayen, check the housekeeping functionality
tbayen: I really did try all search terms. But I did not try "housekeeping". :-)
tbayen: It asks for a configuration with an empty combobox. I think I will look into the source. I am curious what it does.
tbayen: Ah...! Its like the whole idempiere: Very flexible but not configured for real use.
tbayen: CarlosRuiz, do you do some kind of maintenance with your real world customers? Or just let the database grow?
CarlosRuiz: maintenance is highly recommended
CarlosRuiz: that's why we developed that housekeeping
CarlosRuiz: I have a script to test that
tbayen: Are there things you would recommend? Is there a documentation about that?
CarlosRuiz: if you want I can upload it to a JIRA ticket - you test it and give feedback to check if we include it on core
tbayen: I see the big database with all these tables and do not really know where to begin.
tbayen: I would like a documentation that helps find out which things are growing and which have to do with performance.
tbayen: Yes, I would like to check it. But I have still not a real fully working implementation. No "real world scenario". On the other hand most users do not use the full program.
CarlosRuiz: I assigned it to you :-) IDEMPIERE-1509
CarlosRuiz: Housekeeping default configuration
tbayen: thanks
CarlosRuiz: let us know if it works - and we can consider to push it to core
CarlosRuiz: please :-)
tbayen: btw: I did IDEMPIERE-1490 with a ready patch. Is it ok to set it on peer review to get your attention or shall I assign it to you if I want your review?
CarlosRuiz: it's ok on peer review - I usually check this filter https://idempiere.atlassian.net/issues/?filter=10300
tbayen: ok
tbayen: I have to change the network for some minutes to leave office and go home. see you later. ;-)
CarlosRuiz: bye
tbayen: rehi, I am back and will try out your script later. ;-)
